One of the companies we advise and we're partnered with is called MBO Partners out of the US. And what they do is they help people manage all their contractors. So today if you're a big company, you have like 5% contractors in your community, in your employee base, it should be like 30% because the freshness of new skills, new ideas, diversity, etcetera. And so they actually manage managing all the outsourcing and onboarding, offboarding, etcetera. And I think that's going to be a model of the future where the actual reality, what is the company becomes less, more and more. Blurred between an AI agent, outsource workforce, distributed work being done elsewhere and then what's your core offering even becomes more blurred.

I like to keep my eye on GenAI but try to break through the hype and maintain a balanced perspective. These are the four sources of information I have settled on:𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Moonshots with Peter Diamandis (https://lnkd.in/e9C5-cRM) This podcast is firmly in the optimistic camp and tends to extrapolate what may be possible in the future with guests who understand the tech industry as a whole.𝗢𝗽𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹: Matthew Berman (https://lnkd.in/eVbteWEy)I am going off YouTube as the clickbait headlines and the unhelpful algorithm make me feel I am consuming information equivalent to eating McDonald's, but this channel regularly summarises the latest news covering open source as well as models from the main providers. Matthew is very quick to test and evaluate the latest releases and give his knowledgeable opinion.𝗣𝗿𝗮𝗴𝗺𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹: Practical AI (https://lnkd.in/ekh_uC6k)This is a podcast by practitioners who can see through the hype, discuss what is practical now, and give their opinions on the latest news.𝗣𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗺𝗶𝘀𝘁𝗶𝗰 𝗕𝗶𝗴 𝗣𝗶𝗰𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲: Better Offline (https://lnkd.in/eibDS7nG) This podcast is definitely in the pessimistic camp. Ed Zitron is frustrated at tech and convinced that behind the hype around GenAI, the big players are desperate to make what he sees as a flawed technology the next big thing as they have stopped innovating, and this is their only hope for growth. He believes GenAI is a house of cards that will collapse soon. It is highly entertaining but with convincing arguments.
