Dans mon coeur, tu reviens - Zaoui
@berserkboi (9)
@Trouble in Paradise @Untouchable Ace (7)
The last song with three voters is another surprisingly high finish for a French singer Zaoui, with his latest single form June. I think this is his highest charting song yet? We often joke about how Zaoui's songs all sounds the same but it really does feel like he keeps releasing different variations of the same song, including this one. Give us something more exciting and interesting, please.

I know Charli got the gays in a chokehold with "BRAT" but it was a bit unexpected for me that a seemingly random album track from it charted so high. Well, turns out this one got a single treatment at the start of August and it makes perfect sense why it attracted some votes. It's a cute song for sure but very 'just another electropop song by Charli' to me.

And here's the song which made a huge leap from bubbling under to top 15 on amended charts:

The way I was like 'this girl looks so much like that singer from MUNA' for a full minute when this played during the w2g session ddd. So yeah, Katie Gavin is a member of that band went is going to release a solo album later this year. I don't know about others but this sounds exactly like typical MUNA blandery to me, very meh...

Yay! That's half of my ballot making the top 40 as Jade is top 3, I'm sure.

Lana is top 15, right?
JADE top 2.
And all my other songs won’t be here I guess…minus Vicco, Katy and f5ve who we already got.

Top 3 should be Kesha, JADE, and Rose Gray.

Did not expect shade for French king Zaoui! I do think most PJers will love the new Kelly Lee Owen’s song especially if you’re more electro inclined

Wanna Be Loved (Just a Little Better) - Alison Goldfrapp
@Untouchable Ace @X/S (8)
@Aester @Remorque (3)
@WoW73 (2)
A familiar name now. Alison released her debut album "The Love Invention" (and its re-release) last year and is back with a new single, produced by Richard X. I'm not sure if this is something for an upcoming project or just a previously unreleased song which she decided to share. The vocals sound AI generated but the song is a pretty good synth-pop tune.

Ready For Your Love (feat. Sophie Ellis-Bextor) - Felix Jaehn
@Aester @Maki (10)
@BubblegumBoy @Rogue (3)
The last song to miss out on top 10, despite having the same amount of points as the song at #10, is Sophie's latest collab with a German producer Felix Jeahn. And my fave July song. This is such a fantastic and relentless bop, the melodies are classic Sophie, the thumping production just hits all the right spots. In fact, it quickly became one of my absolute favourite Sophie songs. Couldn't give it 11 points in order to reach top 10 but it's a shame this went a bit under the radar, I'm sure it would've been a top 5 contender if it was a solo single.

Love Rose Gray but I don't see her making the top 5 in a month this stacked and with a song that isn't really one of her very best.
If I had to guess the top 5 is going to be Jade, Kesha, Kylie, Alice Chater and Madison Beer. Could also see Lana instead of Madison or Alice.

That one was completely new to me, a very nice discovery. I agree that atmospheric electro bop should appeal to the PJ crew.
I will finally get to revealing the top 10 soon, and also the top 5 i.e. which songs will appear in the monthly charts rate. Just going to say the battle for these five spots was real.
In the meantime, I'm going to properly fix the wrong chart placement posts, maybe it's a good idea to add in those three additional songs in their supposed positions too.

Well, Rose Gray nearly misses out on top 10, let alone top 3. And it was a tie breaker which made her reach this spot. I remember enjoying some of her songs, she does that dancey vibe very well. This one isn't doing much for me though.

Yelle and The Knocks may have missed out on top 5 but claim the title of the highest charting FL (-adjacent) song of July. I must say that, pun intended, this knocks. Could be my favourite Yelle song actually, so catchy and well-produced.

I think we're only down to the big ones now so, what will make it to the top 5?
